Erik ten Hag faces up against the "special one" for the very first time, aiming to build on the promise shown during the second half against Brentford on Saturday. United's form has been steady since getting thumped 3-0 at home to Tottenham, with the Dutchman requiring a considerable uptick in form to ease the pressure on his shoulders.

In the Europa League, United are 21st in the league phase table, while the hosts are 13th with four points having beat Union Saint-Gilloise on Matchday 1.

Who's in and who isn't?

United are without the suspended Bruno Fernandes after he received a red card in the 3-3 draw with Porto. 

The reds also cannot call upon the injured Mason Mount to replace the Portuguese international. Kobbie Mainoo is nursing a muscle injury and is expected to be absent for a few weeks. The saviour from that draw with Porto, Harry Maguire, is also out injured, as are long-term absentees Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw. Jonny Evans, who was superb against Brentford, misses the trip to Turkey with a knock.

"Follow, follow, follow, United are going Bilbao..." Ok, maybe too early to get carried away but that was a much needed win at Old Trafford. Author - Liam C Amad Diallo’s second-half double gave Ruud's reds the win they needed over Greek champions PAOK to kick-start our Europa League campaign and give incoming boss Ruben Amorim a shot at sealing a coveted top-eight finish.  Amad was by far our biggest goal threat. He broke the deadlock when he sent a looping header into the far corner five minutes after the interval. The Ivorian sealed the win when he curled home from the edge of the area 13 minutes from time. Tarik Tissoudall wasted PAOK’s best opportunity when he failed to convert from eight yards with only Andre Onana to beat. Porto 3 - 3 MUFC Harry Maguire salvaged a dramatic draw for a 10-man Manchester United side, who had thrown away a two-goal lead and seen Bruno Fernandes sent off in their Europa League clash against Porto. Author - Liam C Maguire's injury-time header could be a lifeline for under-pressure manager Erik ten Hag, with the team just seconds from suffering their fourth defeat in ten games at the start of the season. In the first of five added minutes, Maguire leapt to meet Christian Eriksen's corner and expertly nodded the ball into the bottom corner, securing a crucial point.
